Audeon has assembled a collection of talented artists, journalists and DJs into one of the first podcast labels. A5 Podcasting is the latest development in the rapidly growing field of portability. Podcasting allows radio listeners to choose the exact time they want to listen to a program.
An A5 podcast is a MP3 audio file that can be automatically downloaded to your personal computer and in turn transferred to an iPod or other MP3 player. In order to do this, a podcasting application is used to "add" a podcast. The program checks the site regularly and starts a download whenever it finds a new MP3 file. A5 Podcast is offering downloadable MP3 podcasts of all its locally produced programs.

APPLE...the media conglomerate
Back in the heady days of multi-media, kisosks, Red Gate, pre-internet; media-tech evangelists envisioned a day when systems and software would became transparent and what resulted was pure media. Well, it happened today. And, of course it came from the original multi-media well spring...Apple.
Apple has with its announcement today confirmed their transition from a systems and software computer company into a global media conglomerate. Everybody's doin' it, you see. Just a few days ago Google became the largest and most powerful media company on the planet. With the "portaling" of first the music business and now the radio business, it should be clear to everyone, Pixar's crown prince get's media and Apple is newest and perhaps best branded media network providing service to all the you's and me's of the world.
God bless 'em they do get it and quite fast given their response time to podcasts. RSS media delivery will change the world, maybe by the end of tomorrow afternoon. All media will change because of the internet and digital media assets, even given our protectionist media mogals and their puppet legislators crushing true high-speed networks and making the innovator of internet technology a technology backwater. Radio & TV Networks need to be very afraid, be very, very afraid, cable and satellite radio was a polite brother, RSS is the unpredictable enchanted uncle that without a single thought destroy and mame vast old media empires.
Congratulations Apple...you rock.
